Letter from the Project Director:

"That said, I just took a look at the poster files you shared with me and I think I can make them work for the Archive. I've just surfed through a few of the stories and taken a quick look at the art files and indeed, what I have seen so far is quite wonderful.
The issue is going to be the text files. Most of the posters are sent as JPGs and I need the individual text files to be able to go over them, proofread them and upload them on the website. I cannot copy or edit text from an image. Any chance you might be able to get the students to each create their own folder in their name where they would place each one of their essays (as editable doc files) and each piece of artwork they created along with their poster? If that is too difficult to get out of them at this stage, I must at least have the editable text files labeled appropriately.
Kindest regards,
Mireille"

Also, I cannot begin to tell you how excited we are about the project's exhibition in March. The gallery space is truly spectacular.
The date is set for the opening at SOTHEBY'S for Thursday, March 26, 2020.
So, please SAVE THE DATE!
Because we have such a fantastic space, I would actually like to exhibit original artwork in the show. Would this be possible? If so you could email the files by Dec. 31 and give me a sense of their dimensions so that I may start thinking about the display. The work could be sent to me after the break. I will be working on the actual display design over my winter break, which begins tonight.

Letter from Safran
Dear Students,
So very proud of all of you-the pieces are so beautiful! (The ones that submitted at least:). I wanted to write this since many students are not following the directions and I want this to be awesome for you!
Posters: I am currently working on making sure that I go through all of your folders (you should only have one folder) and dragging all of your posters to a new folder I am making. Don't worry about the size of the font since we will be blowing them up to present. Please just make sure they are in high quality and follow the format guidelines. Try to make sure you through some creative energy into them and play with the fonts, background color, etc. Use any program you want to- Canva, Adobespark, Google, Photoshop, etc. Ask each other for help if you need it!
Folders: If you have been creating more than one folder please drag and drop into only one folder. Each folder should have the 5 separate docs, including the poster to make it 6 total.
Art pieces: I also need you all to make sure that all of your pictures are editable (change the settings to reflect that) and are correctly labeled as described below. They have to be JPEG's when you add them in your folder as separate docs (don't place the two photos on the same doc). We are going to be submitting these separately too for the online presentation since the director loved them so much.
Essays, including reflection: Please make sure these are also editable and are proofread as these are going to be showcased on the online project!
